What we're all about.
In 1996, a friend of mine built a 3-dimensional miniatures board for a well-known SF war-game using their preprinted paper board as a template. Over 3 days at a local convention, 10 players played over 36 hrs. on that board.
The only problem was, at just over 2 ft square, the fighting area was very crowded.
Soon after, I set about planning a larger 4 ft. by 8 ft. industrial manufacturing layout. It comprised 5 multi-level buildings and was done completely in scale for the war-game miniatures.
The next convention we attended, everybody wanted to know where I'd gotten the board. Upon finding out that I had built it myself, they starting wanting my work and asking for prices.
About the same time, I was considering selling my chainmail jewelry and dancers belts which I had been building for friends since 1984.
As a self-taught craftsman, I found that the more things I built, the more people were interested in my work in the art form. My ideas and projects kept getting bigger, until I needed to start selling them to make room for the next one. It all grew from there.
Warhorse Productions has been a work in progress since that time and is presented to my friends and customers, who over the years have trusted in me to build them the best stuff.
This site is set up to show my work and give my customers ideas for the things that are possible within the varied mediums in which I work.
Please return to the site often as we are adding new products and pictures all the time.
